Bulls doubled up 6-3 by Prospects

EDMONTON – The up and down 2018 Western Major Baseball League season for the Lethbridge Bulls continued Saturday, June 16, as they were beaten 6-3 by the Edmonton Prospects.

Edmonton jumped out to an early 6-1 lead after the second inning and hung on for the 6-3 win. 

The bullpens were fantastic for both sides and put on a pitching clinic.

Edmonton’s Josh Sieglitz pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless ball in relief of starter Rich Walker, to earn the save.

Bulls pitcher Kale Penner was perfect over the final four innings for Lethbridge, getting 12 batters out with 38 pitches. 

Zane Takhar led the Prospect batters with two hits, two runs scored and 2 RBI, while Bulls outfielder Hank Forrest countered with three hits. 

The Bulls and Prospects wrap up the three-game weekend set this afternoon, at 2:05 p.m. at ReMax Field.
