Bulls drop 7-2 decision at Brooks

BROOKS – The Lethbridge Bulls weren’t able to turn their Canada Day victory in a winning streak, losing 7-2 at Brooks Tuesday, July 3.

The Bombers took a 2-0 lead in the second inning, and never gave it up. The Bulls were held scoreless until the eighth, when first baseman Lachlan Mayo hit a two-run homer, his sixth home run of the season.

Starting pitcher Chris Messer was tagged with the loss, giving up four runs on three hits and six walks over four innings.

With the loss, the Bulls are now 9-16. They’re back home Wednesday, July 4 to take on Edmonton. Game time is 7:05 p.m. at Spitz Stadium.
