Canola Crop Walk offers expertise to growers

LETHBRIDGE – As canola fields begin to turn yellow in the region, the Alberta Canola Producers Commission will be hositng Canola Director Kevin Serfas for a Crop Walk on Wednesday, July 11th.
 
The walk will run from 9:30 to noon, with a free BBQ lunch to follow. 
 
Those who attend will be able to get expert answers to conola questions such as diseases, including blackleg and clubroot; straight cutting tips and swath timing, as well as harvest management for multi stage canola.
 
Experts in attendance will include Autumn Barnes, Scott Meers, Dan Orchard and Kevin French and Justine Cornelsen
 
The crop walk is free to attend and will be held in the Turin-Enchant area, about 4.25 miles south of secodnary Highway-526 on Highway-25. (Google Map)  More information is available on the Alberta Canola Producers Commission website.
