OKOTOKS – The Lethbridge Bulls were bitten by the Okotoks Dawgs Friday night, to the tune of a 14-6 loss that extended the Dawgs winning streak to seven games.

With the win, the Dawgs now sport a record of 22-10 and remain second best in the Western Division, while Lethbridge now has a 13-21 mark on the season but is still holding down the final playoff spot.

In the home half of the third inning, Nate Dechaine opened the scoring with a grand slam to give the Dawgs a lead they would not relinquish.

The Bulls made the game close with seventh-inning home runs from Carter Witbeck and Hank Forrest, but to no avail.

Bryce Oriold-Fraser started for the Bulls and took the loss after tossing 5.1 innings. On offence, Hank Forrest is now up to 14 RBI this season following Friday night’s game.

The Bulls are back at home tonight, taking on the Moose Jaw Miller Express looking to snap their two-game losing skid.
