Bulls dominate in rescheduled game at Brooks
BROOKS – Dylan Borman smacked two home runs and drove in six runs, as the Lethbridge Bulls destroyed the Brooks Bombers 16-1 Thursday, July 19, a make-up game for a late June rainout.
The Bulls took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back. Most of the damage was done in the sixth, with seven runs by Lethbridge including a two-run homer by Borman. He followed that with a grand slam in the eighth.
Lethbridge product Bryce Oriold-Fraser had his first win in six starts, allowing one run on three hits with 13 strikeouts over seven innings.
The Bulls improved to 16-23, as they prepare for a three-game weekend series at home to the Fort McMurray Giants. Lethbridge heads into the first game Friday, July 20 with a one-game lead over the Giants for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Western Division.
