Lethbridge County institutes Fire Advisory

Jul 20, 2018 | 4:41 PM

LETHBRIDGE – A Fire Advisory has been issued by Lethbridge County due to warm, dry conditions, which are forecast to continue into the weekend.

The County did note that it is not a Fire Ban, however, they ask residents to hold-off on any burning activities until after the advisory has been lifted.

If burning is still necessary, they state that you must follow the regulations on your Fire Permit and the Fire Permit Bylaw #1424. You must also monitor the fire continuously and put it out immediately if wind speeds exceed 15 km/h. You should also not hesitate to call 911 if the fire gets out of control at any time.

Further, the County notes that a Fire could still be instituted if conditions persist.
