Bulls make huge comeback but lose to Okotoks 7-6

LETHBRIDGE —   The Lethbridge Bulls clawed their way out of a 6-0 deficit agaisnt Okotoks Thrusday (July 25) night, by scoring six runs in the final two innings to send the game to an extra inning. However, the team’s rally fell shy as Eddie Sanchez became the hero of the night for the Dawgs when he doubled home Colin Ridout with the winning run in the top of the tenth. 

Collin Ridout banged out five hits at the plate and scored two runs for the Dawgs. Hank Forrest and Jesse Hilyard each drove in three runs for the Bulls, who had four batters reaching base at least twice.

 Starter Mason Swegarden pitched seven scoreless innings before turning things over to the bullpen who gave up six Lethbridge runs. Chris Stodolka, who made his 15th appearance of the season, took the loss for the Bulls

The Lethbridge team is now 19-and-25 as they continue their final week of the regular season.

On Thursday and Friday, the Edmonton Prospects will be in Lethbridge.  The Bulls play their final regular season home game against Medicine Hat on Saturday night, before hitting the road to Okotoks for an afternoon game on Sunday.
