TABER – A head-on collision shut down Highway 36 just north of Taber Friday morning, Aug. 10.

RCMP said it happened at around 6:40 a.m. between Township Roads 102 and 104 and involved two SUVs heading in opposite directions. Each had a single occupant. The male driver of a southbound pickup was airlifted to hospital by HALO, but died en route.
