LETHBRIDGE —    Fire crews were called out to a house fire along Lafayette Blvd West around 8:45-pm Saturday (Sept 15). The blaze reportedly started in the garage and spread to home.

Fire officials say popping sounds heard by neighbours were Not gunfire but items exploding inside the garage.  They believe those items were fuel cans.

LethbridgeNewsNOW learned from fire officials that the occupants of the home were already out when they arrived on scene and that one person suffered minor injuries.

Fire investigators made a preliminary inspection of the scene and will conduct a full investigation on Monday.
