More than 200 adoption inquiries for St. Bernard trio in Edmonton

EDMONTON – Just a day after asking the public for help finding three St. Bernards a new home, the Edmonton Humane Society says it has received so many inquiries it has closed the application process.

More than 200 people from across Canada, the U.S. and even Australia sent in emails seeking to adopt Gasket, Goliath and Gunther.

Despite the interest from across the world, the shelter says it hopes to find a home close to Edmonton to minimize stress on the three brothers.

The society says they need to be kept together because they’re best buddies and get highly anxious when separated.
