RCMP investigate fatal collision on Highway 25

PICTURE BUTTE – Nearly a week after it occurred, Picture Butte RCMP have released little information about a deadly collision on Highway 25, east of Iron Springs.
 
Police say around 9 a.m. Oct. 6, Picture Butte Fire and Emergency Services were called to the scene, and prounounced a 48-year-old woman dead. The collision occurred between the hours of midnight and 9 a.m.
 
The woman was the lone occupant of the vehicle. There’s no word on how the collision occurred, what the vehicle may have hit, road conditions at the time or whether drugs or alcohol played a role.
 
The woman’s name will not be released.
