RCMP continue to search for information in death of Victoria Crow Shoe

Oct 12, 2018 | 3:24 PM

PINCHER CREEK – It has been more than three years since the body of 43-year-old Victoria Crow Shoe was found on the shores of the Oldman River Reservoir at the Windy Point day use area.

Family members had last seen Crow Shoe on August 26, 2015 and the police investigation has been able to establish that the last time that she was seen or spoken to was on Monday, August 31, 2015.

She was known to be living at the Lethbridge Shelter and would often be at the Lethbridge library. She was not reported missing by her family until two days after her body was recovered.

No one has been charged with her murder, and RCMP are hoping whoever might know what may have happened to her, comes forward.

Investigators now say they believe her body was bound by a rope before she was placed into the water. The rope is described as kernmantle construction and is white with two black tracers in the weave.

RCMP say the investigation is still very active, and Crow Shoe’s family and friends are hoping someone may know something and come forward to police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP tip line at 403-343-5582, or to email RCMP.KHHU-KHHU.GRC@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
