North Lethbridge fire training underway

LETHBRIDGE – Local and regional firefighters will be performing live fire training at the Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services training facility at 2825 5 Avenue N over the next few days.
The City of Lethbridge sent out a release stating residents may see smoke in the area due to the nature of the training.
Training exercises use specialized fuels to ensure the smoke generated is not harmful to the health of residents or to the environment.
Officials say the purpose of this training is to help firefighters recognize dangerous smoke and fire patterns and to educate them about how to attack fires in the safest and most effective way.
