LETHBRIDGE – Anyone looking to take the first step, or the next step, in their pursuit of a post-secondary education has an opportunity to learn more about local options this week.

Lethbridge College’s Fall Open House, a free event that runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, will be held in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.

A release states Open House makes it easier for potential students to begin their educational journey as application fees will be waived Thursday for anyone who applies to an available program on-the-spot.

Additionally, anyone who registers for and attends Open House will be entered into a draw to win a $1,500 tuition credit.

Shanda Webber, manager of Recruitment and Indigenous Services, says with more than 50 programs and countless student supports and services, there’s something for everyone at Lethbridge College.

“If you’re considering going to college, whether you’re a high school student, a mature learner looking to return to your studies or anything in between, Open House is your best opportunity to learn about all that we can offer,” Webber stated.

Fall Open House features showcase booths for all of Lethbridge College’s programs and also provides individuals with opportunities to speak one-on-one with instructors.

Visitors will be able to take a tour of the campus, take part in interactive program exhibits and learn about all the college’s student services – ranging from academics to financial to Indigenous and international services to athletics and more.
