MADISON, WISCONSIN —  It’s the ultimate beauty, breeding and talent competition for Clydesdale horses and an Alberta equine brought home a bundle of top ribbons last month.

A brown, white-stockinged mare named Puzzle, was born and bred at Willow Way Clydesdales near Ohaton, Alberta, just south-east of Edmonton.

Puzzle stood out among more than 600 other horeses at the 2018 World Clydesdale Show in Madison, Wisconsin, between October 25th and the 28th.

Puzzle trotted off with a string of prizes, including titles for the top Three-year-old Mare, Senior Champion Mare and Grand Champion Mare at the 2018 show.  Winning those categories, gave the mare the eligibility to place in the supreme Halter Horse category, which she also won.

Willow Way Clydsedales has a breeding program that has been developed over more than 45-years, which has acquired the best genetics from the United Kingdom and North America. The ranch is home to about 80 registered Clydsdales.
