LETHBRIDGE —  More than 830 Lethbridge-West UnitedConservative Party (UCP) members cast a ballot for their preferred candidate to represent them in the spring 2019 provincial election.

The candidates included Rick Dempsey, George Rigaux and Karri Flatla. When the ballots were counted, Karri Flatla had won the nomination.

UCP Leader Jason Kenney issued a statement congratulating Flatla on the win.

“Karri is an experienced small business owner who understands the issues most important to the people in Lethbridge-West. She runs a successful real estate sales practice in Lethbridge and holds a Bachelor of Management degree. Throughout her career as a realtor, she has become a keen negotiator, working hard to get the best deal for those she works with. Her experience will be tremendously valuable to the United Conservative team as we seek to defeat the NDP, reignite the Alberta economy and get our province back on track. I am pleased to welcome Karri as the United Conservative candidate in Lethbridge-West.
