UPDATED: Suspect wanted in connection with two assaults arrested

LETHBRIDGE — UPDATE: Dec. 19, 2018 – Lethbridge Police say 34-year-old Daniel Conine was arrested today in Lethbridge. No other details are available. Police thank the public for its assistance. 

Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Lethbridge man charged in connection with two assaults earlier this month.  

On December 12, police responded to a report of a past assault. Investigation determined that on Dec. 2 a 34-year-old male allegedly pointed a handgun at an acquaintance and on Dec. 10 police say he assaulted and unlawfully confined the same victim inside a southside home.

A search warrant was obtained and given the possible presence of firearms, members of the Critical Incident Response team executed the warrant at a home along the 1900 block of 12 Avenue South, on Wednesday (Dec 12). 

An airsoft revolver and .22 calibre ammunition were seized from the home but the subject was not located and his current whereabouts  are unknown.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Daniel Conine, who is charged with assault, assault with a weapon, unlawful confinement and pointing a firearm.
