Henderson Ice Centre open again after nearly week-long shutdown

LETHBRIDGE – The city has resolved an issue with the ice plant at the Henderson Ice Centre.
The arena on Parkside Drive S. is reopening Friday, Dec. 28 after a mechanical failure forced its closure on the weekend. At the time, programming had to be cancelled and groups with ice time booked were contacted to make other arrangements.
Anyone with ice time scheduled for Friday at Henderson is asked to contact their organizer to confirm whether it’s still there or at another arena.
“We thank the public for their patience as we know this is a time for friends and family to enjoy time together and skating is a popular activity. We apologize for any inconvenience,” the city said in a news release.
