Local police warning of opioid precautions following two deaths

Jan 7, 2019 | 8:32 AM

LETHBRIDGE – The Lethbridge Police Service is asking the public to be aware of a bad batch of opioids that may have made its way into the city and take precautions.

According to police, over the past 24 hours, they’ve responded to two suspected overdose deaths and officers believe an extremely potent batch of opioids is in circulation on city streets.

They’re advising that anyone using opioids do so at the Supervised Consumption Site or have Naloxone and someone with the ability to administer it, nearby.

Police will not be releasing any further information about the two deaths.
