RCMP release name of man charged with ramming police vehicle

COALDALE —   RCMP have laid 13-charges against a 32-year old Lethrbdge area resident, relating to a multitude of offences, including theft of vehicles, break and enter and resisting arrest.
 
It began with an incident early Monday morning, where a man was found passed out in a stolen truck in a farm yard. When police approached, the suspect woke up, rammed the police vehicle and then fled.
 
Later that same day, a suspicious vehicle was seen east of Coadale. Police followed the vehicle to Stafford Lake where it was ditched.  Officers found the man hiding in the garage of an area residence.
 
Darrin Bressellar has been formally charged with the following offences;

Criminal Code Offences: Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle; 3 charges of Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000; Flight from Police Officer; Resist Arrest; Break and Enter with intent to commit and indictable offence; Mischief under $5000; 2 charges of Failing to Comply with a recognizance;

Provincial Offences: Operate Motor Vehicle without Insurance; Display unauthorized licence plate; Driving while unauthorized.

Bressellar had his matters put over for a judicial interim release hearing at the Lethbridge Provincial Court on Thursday, Jan 17..
