Calgary man faces multiple charges after pursuit and arrest by Taber police

 TABER — The traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle by Taber police around 12:24 Thursday (Jan 17) morning, turned into a pursuit when the vehicle failed to stop.  However, the pursuit was quickly terminated for public safety.

Police determined the vehicle had been stolen out of Calgary and continued to follow at a distance. It was later found west of town.  The drive tried to flee but was found by an RCMP canine unit.  

Inside the stolen vehicle, police seized numerous stolen items linked to recent break and enters at Taber businesses.

46 year old Carl Christopher Quesnell of Calgary has been charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Stolen Property over $5000, Flight from Police, Obstructing a Police Officer, Dangerous Driving, Impaired Driving, Operating a Motor Vehicle while Suspended and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace.
