FCC Young Farmers’ Summit slated for Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE —  It’s a summit for those under the age of 40 and is dubbed “Ignite”.

The free event is sponsored by Farm Credit Canada (FCC) and is one of eleven in a series of events across Canada, that is designed to attract and engage the next generation of farmers, food manufacturers and retailers.

The summit is for those already working in the industry or pursuing a career in agriculture through education. The plan is to inspire, provide knowledge and help create connections among those in the industry.

The Lethbridge event is planned for Wednesday, Feb. 6, and runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will be held at the Sandman Signature – Lethbridge Lodge Hotel on Scenic Drive.

While the event is free, participants are asked to pre-register. More information and registration details can be found on the FCC website.

The speakers include Emcee, entrepreneur and producer, Stuart Knight; futurist and digital strategist, Jesse Hirsh; Founder and President of Steeped Tea, Tonia Jahshan; and Psychologist and stress expert, Dr. Amir Georges Sabongui.
