LETHBRIDGE – A warrant has been issued for a Lethbridge woman who is facing 52 criminal charges including, possession of undelivered mail, possession of stolen property, possession of credit card data, making/possess identity documents, fraud and more.

Lethbridge Police say Tammy Judy Yolanta Kotowski and her alleged accomplice, 28-year-old Kyle Anthony Blakely, who is facing another 84 charges, victimized 30 people.

Blakely is facing charges for possession of stolen property, uttering a forged document, fraud, false pretenses, make/possess identity documents, possession of undelivered mail, and possession of credit card data.

He is scheduled to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court for a bail hearing Tuesday, Feb. 12.

Police say an investigation in November and December 2018 by patrol members and the Economic Crime Unit yielded stolen mail including, cheques, pay stubs, personal letters and pre-authorized credit letters. Other property taken from vehicles included insurance registration documents and wallets.

They add that with the stolen documents, the two were allegedly able to get names, dates of birth, Social Insurance Numbers, addresses, bank account and credit card information.

Online applications were also made and the two were able to buy a car, a guitar and to get a loan using a digitally altered driver’s license and pay stub. In some cases, the stolen documents were also traded for drugs.

Anyone with information on Kotowski’s whereabouts is asked to contact Lethbridge Police or Crime Stoppers.
