Two arrested in West Lethbridge drug bust

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Two people have been arrested following a short-term ALERT investigation.

According to a release from ALERT, more than $16,000 worth of cash and drugs were seized on Feb. 8. 2019. A search warrant was executed at a residence in West Lethbridge, where ALERT’s Lethbridge organized crime and gang team found more than $10,500 worth of drugs and nearly $5,500 in cash, as well as a set of brass knuckles. The Lethbridge Police Service assisted.

Drugs seized included:

  • 98.8 grams of cocaine
  • 20.4 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
  • 11 Oxycodone tablets
  • 12 tablets of MDMA
  • One tablet of LSD

“This investigation began in January 2019, so we were able to prevent a variety of drugs from hitting the streets in a short amount of time,” said ALERT Lethbridge Staff Sergeant Leon Borbandy in the release.

“This quick action speaks to ALERT’s commitment to working with local police to make communities like Lethbridge safer.”

54-year-old Susan Graf has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of proceeds of crime and possession of a prohibited weapon.

42-year-old John Hodgson was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
