Lethbridge Bulls sign University of Fraser Valley slugger

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Bulls have added a new player to their roster.

The team has signed University of Fraser Valley outfielder Riley Jepson. The Kamloops native currently plays with the Fraser Valley Cascades of the Canadian Colleges Baseball Conference.

Last season, he led the league with a batting average of .489, while hitting three home runs and recording 25 RBIs.

During the past campaign, Jepson also spent some time with the Yorkton Cardinals of the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL).

He appeared in 35 games and led the team in OPS (on-base plus slugging) and SLG (slugging percentage) and finished the season with a slash line of .279/.369/.475. He hit 11 doubles and three home runs.

The Bulls hit the field for the first time on May 25 against the Edmonton Prospects. Their home opener will be on May 30 when they host the Fort McMurray Giants.

They’ll also be competing against the Vauxhall Academy for the TCMM Memorial Game on May 29.
