LETHBRIDGE – If you’re an aspiring actor or are just interested in maybe taking part in a Hollywood film, you can try your luck this weekend.

According to the Town of Fort Macleod’s website, extras are needed to work in a new Thriller starring Kevin Costner and Diane Lane that will be shot in southern Alberta. Costner will also be the executive producer of the film.

There are specific requirements, though, including no facial hair, facial piercings, tattoos, fake nails or coloured or highly stylized hair.

The movie will be filmed from April 5 to May 17 and is set in the 1960s. Casting directors will be accepting applications from those ages 5 to 80.

While pay for being an extra can vary widely, some can make up to $200 per day.

Those interested in auditioning can go to the Fort Macleod & District Community Hall at 301- 25 St.Sunday, March 24, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
