St-Hyacinthe, Que. --  Late summer and fall is the time for home canning and freezing the garden's bounty.  Anyone who has done home preserving, can tell you that blanching vegetables before freezing them, is crucial to maintaining edible quality.

OTTAWA:  The contribution of organic farmers is being recognized during Canada's National Organic Week, which runs until September 16th.   It's the largest annual celebration of organic food, farming and products across the country.

One Horse Town rolls into Taber this week

TABER -- Just over 3000 tickets sold out in less than an hour and it will be the largest 'One Horse Town' event Coors-Banquet has ever hosted.  We already know the benefactor is the town of Taber.
 
But, there could still be some tickets to be had!
