Kodiaks basketball players win season awards

FORT MCMURRAY, AB – A member of the Lethbridge Kodiaks women’s basketball team has been rewarded for her hard work.

Lethbridge native Jocelyn Neilson has been named the ACAC women’s basketball south division rookie of the year.

Lethbridge athletes among Tuesday's 13 medal winners for Alberta at Canada Winter Games

RED DEER --  It was Super Tuesday for Team Alberta at the 2019 Canada Winter Games with home province athletes earning 13 medals (five gold, five silver and three bronze).

The last time Alberta had a 12-medal day was February 23, 2011, in Halifax.

OLDS, AB – The Lethbridge College Kodiaks basketball teams wrap up their ACAC regular seasons this weekend. Both squads are on the road against the Olds College Broncos.

This weekend’s games will each have playoff implications.

Alberta hauls in 11 medals Wednesday at Canada Winter Games

RED DEER, AB - Team Alberta athletes continue to rack up medals at the 2019 Canada Winter Games.

Eleven more medals on Wednesday bring the home province’s medal total to 28, second only to Quebec’s 43 in the overall standings.
