LETHBRIDGE – She wasn’t due to arrive until Jan. 8, however, this little one showed up early and became one of the New Year’s babies born at the Chinook Regional hospital.

The baby girl was born to the Peters family at 9:03 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, according to Alberta Health Services. Her parents, Bobby and Kaycee, from Pincher Creek, had not selected a name for the little girl at the time of the news release.  She weighed in at 7 lbs. 11 oz.

The Peters’ newborn was not the first New Year’s baby at CRH.  The first baby of the New Year, also a little girl, arrived at 5:01.  However, the family declined to have information released relating to the new arrival.
