Apr 20, 2018 | 1:02 PM

LETHBRIDGE – Earth Day is seeing multiple events aimed at protecting the environment happening around Lethbridge.

Among them is a chance to clean out old electronics for recycling. The E-Cycle Drive is collecting old phones, computers, TVs, and other electronic devices. You can phone 403-929-5636 to arrange a pickup.

There are also two drop-off points.: 1817 3 Ave S. just west of Mint Car Wash, and the west-side Save-On Foods, 401 Highlands Blvd. W.

Bins will be placed by authorized electronic recyclers. The collection cannot accept batteries or non-electronic items.

Last year, E-Cycle drives in Lethbridge collected 32,000 lbs. of material.

The Earth Day drive is underway, through Monday, April 23.
