
Early morning barn fire causes $50,000
LETHBRIDGE, AB — Four city fire stations and 23 firefighters responded to a barn fire in the 200 block of 30 Street West at around 3 a.m. Thursday morning.
The barn was fully involved when firefighters arrived. Water supply from tanker trucks was required from neighbouring fire departments.
The fire was discovered by a news paper carrier who awoke the owner to call Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services.
The fire destroyed the barn and damaged a fifth-wheel holiday trailer and fencing. While there were no injuries reported, total damages are estimated at $50,000.
