LETHBRIDGE, AB – Two post-secondaries in Lethbridge will cheer on graduating students this month.

Both Lethbridge College and the University of Lethbridge (U of L) will hold their Fall Convocation ceremonies on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

LETHBRIDGE COLLEGE

More than 500 students are set to receive their degrees, diplomas, certificates, and apprenticeship credentials from Lethbridge College this month.

About 180 of those learners are expected to cross the stage on October 14.

Marko Hilgersom, Registrar said in a news release, “Convocation is the time we get to recognize the accomplishments of our graduates and acknowledge the hard work of our faculty and staff.”

“It is an honour to read out the name of each student and to see them have their moment in the spotlight, celebrated by their friends and family.”

The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium. For those who cannot attend the ceremony, it will be livestreamed at the Lethbridge College website.

The new traditional Buffalo Winter Count Robe will be on display during the event, and valedictorian Rachel Gelowitz will speak at the ceremony and lead the procession of graduates.
