Sexual Violence Policy Approved for University of Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE – A Sexual Violence Policy has been approved by the University of Lethbridge Board of Governors, as they work to address the issue of sexual violence on campus.
The policy is aimed at expanding awareness and education, promote principles of consent and provide resources and support for those affected by sexual violence.
In addition to the policy, they also launched a website to help reach students.
“The website is intended to contain information on how to support someone who’s been a victim of sexual violence, it’s intended to contain resources for those who’ve been affected by it as well, where they may go for help and support, the various options that are available to them,” explained Mark Slomp, Acting Director of Student Services and Manager of Career and Counselling Services.
