Apology Issued by Town of Taber for Insensitive Fire Tweet by Employee

TABER – The Town of Taber decided to suspend Tom Moffat until further notice, at a special council meeting on Friday.
It issued an apology Wednesday morning, after the former Alberta NDP candidate made an inappropriate comment on social media regarding the Fort McMurray wildfire.
The Town noted that the comment was made on a personal account, and that they’d be discussing the matter with him.
They ensured that Moffat’s views in no way reflect the views of the community.
