Mar 23, 2018 | 11:51 AM

LETHBRIDGE – Eager gardeners will once again have a chance to get into the swing of spring.

Environment Lethbridge and the Lethbridge Bee Enthusiasts are hosting the second annual Seedy Saturday, March 24, 1-4 p.m. at the LSCO gymnasium, at 500 – 11 St. S.

A highlight will be the “Seed Swap.” People can bring their extra seeds to trade, and even those who don’t will be able to take home seeds.

Planned workshops include a traditional garden tool demonstration, a panel on backyard gardening alternatives, a session on worm composting, and a talk on raising pollinators and bees. Ask-a-Gardener will also be presented by the Lethbridge Horticultural Society.

New exhibitors this year include Malika’s Mushrooms, Sill and Soil, and Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens. Wildrose Heritage Seeds returns, and Permaculture Lethbridge, Oxbow Native Plant Nursery, and Earthly Matters Vermiculture are also represented.

More than 100 Seedy Saturday events are being held across the country. There is no charge to attend.
