Taber Police Make Cocaine Bust

TABER – A 30-year-old Calgary man has been charged after a drug bust in Taber.

Officers stopped a vehicle on Tuesday at Highway 3 and Highway 36, where they found 8 grams of cocaine, over a $1,000 cash, and a knife.

Police say the man was allegedly transporting and distributing cocaine into the community of Taber.

Bereketab Gedecho is scheduled to appear in court on March 16th facing charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, and possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace.
