Lethbridge Gets Piece of Flood Defence Funding
LETHBRIDGE: The Alberta government has announced $800,000 worth of upgrades to the Lethbridge Water Treatment plant.
The funding is part of $17 M being spread out across seven municipalities in Southern Alberta through the province’s Community Resilience Program.
The money received by the City of Lethbridge will help with enhancements to an existing berm surrounding the water treatment plant.
Flooding in June 2014 affected several communities in southern Alberta. Many of these communities are receiving Alberta Community Resilience Program grants in this funding cycle.
