Legends of Sports Gala to Benefit Community Organizations

LETHBRIDGE – Several community sports organizations will benefit from this year’s Legends of Sports Gala.

The Prairie Baseball Academy, the Lethbridge Bull’s non-profit fund and the Southwestern Alberta Sports Development Centre will receive the proceeds from ticket sales. Funds will go toward scholarships and community initiatives.

Baseball Hall of Famers like Andre Dawson, Ferguson Jenkins and Bill “The Spaceman” Lee will also be the night’s guest speakers.

“We mix it up. We’ve had hockey players, it’s not just baseball. This year that’s what our focus is on, but we want to do all sports. When you get speakers of this kind of caliber of great Hall of Famers, it’s something you’ll remember for all your life,” noted Under the Lights Sports and Entertainment Assistant Manager, Kym Barthel.
