Two Charged in North Side Shooting
LETHBRIDGE: Two men have been charged and Lethbridge Police are looking for a third, in connection with a drug related shooting early Tuesday morning on the north side.
The shooting happened around 2:30-am on March 15, in the alley behind Gonzo’s Gas along the 900 block of 9 Avenue North. An investigation found that a 26-year-old woman and 30-year-old man were in the alley, when they were shot at by subjects in a vehicle, who then fled the scene. Neither of the victims was injured.
Police have noted that it was a targeted incident related to the drug trade, and that everyone involved was known to one another.
The investigation resulted in a search warrant being executed March 15 at 8-pm at a home along Mount Sundance Crescent, in which two men were taken into custody. Police also seized 170 grams of Fentanyl, nearly 20 grams of cocaine, 26.5 grams of crack cocaine, nearly $5,000 in cash and two vehicles.
