Community Foundation Appoints New Executive Director

LETHBRIDGE – The Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta will gain a new Executive Director next month.

Charleen Davidson will take over April 1, following George Hall who is set to retire at the end of April after serving the community for nine years.

The Lethbridge resident has worked extensively in the non-profit sector in the community as the Executive Director of the Lethbridge HIV Connection Society and in a volunteer role as a city-appointed member of the Sir Alexander Galt Museum and Archives Board of Directors.

Davidson joins the organization from the Alberta Museums Association, where she was the Operations Lead and Project Manager fro the Museum Flood Funding Program.

“She brings extensive community service experience to our organization, and we were impressed with her passion and interest in giving back to the community,” Dennis Hatt, Community Foundation’s President said.

She is a University of Lethbridge graduate and holds a masters degree in Museum Studies from the University of Toronto.

Davidson will be the foundation’s fourth Executive Director.
