Palliser School Board Reconsiders Budget For Operational Review

Apr 1, 2016 | 9:37 AM

LETHBRIDGE – The Board of Trustees of Palliser Regional Schools held an emergency meeting on Thursday night.

The meeting was called to reconsider the proposed cost of an independent operational review of the school division and to ensure compliance with procurement processes.

On Tuesday, the board had approved two motions related to the operational review. The first was to approve three panel members and the other was to approve a budget of $136,000 plus expenses for the review.

However, the board voted on Thursday night to rescind both motions.

The Board will now go back to the three panel members and ask them to resubmit their proposals with a revised scope of work and a budget that does not exceed $75,000.

The board has asked for those submissions by Monday.
