May 18, 2016 | 1:45 PM

COALDALE:  RCMP need information from the public, as they investigate the theft of traffic safety lights at a Lethbridge County bridge.

The bridge is located at Township Road 100 and Range Road 204, with the thefts occuring around the end of April.

On Wednesday, Coaldale RCMP released images of a blue dodge truck to get some leads. However, RCMP were able to identify and speak with the registered owner and turns out he was not involved in the crime.

The theft or damaging of safety lights meant to keep the public safe during construction projects is a criminal offence that could lead to serious injures to innocent motorists.

Anyone with information on this crime or any other please contact the Coaldale Rural RCMP at (403) 329-5080/ Coaldale Municipal RCMP at (403) 345-5552 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or on the website

Crime stoppers will pay cash rewards up to $2000.00 for information that leads to an arrest, the recovery of stolen property or seizure of illegal drugs. Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display and the identity of the caller will remain anonymous.
