More Improvements for Mayor Magrath Drive – City Wants Resident Feedback

LETHBRIDGE: Up-grading work continues on Mayor Magrath Drive and traffic will be impacted .

The north and south bound lanes will be closed in the area of 34th Avenue and Southgate Boulevard, on Thursday, May26th. Improvements include installation of dual south-bound left-turn lanes with dedicated signals, to help with traffic flow. The work is expected to be complete by mid-afternoon.

The city is also looking for feedback on proposed changes to another section of Mayor Magrath. On Wednesday, (June 1st), a public information session will focus on the segment of roadway from 6th Avenue South to 5th Avenue North and look at how to accommodate growth for various modes of travel along the north-south artery. The session will run from 4:30 to 7:30 in the City Hall foyer with a presentation at 5:15.
