Two Women Charged in Drug Bust on Blood Reserve

BLOOD RESERVE:  Blood Tribe Police (BTP) have charged two women with trafficking in relation to a drug bust on the reserve.

On Thursday (May 26th), the BTP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) stopped a vehicle on the reserve and found enough evidence to conduct a search and arrest the occupants.

Police allegedly found Canadian Currency, as well Fentanyl pills and cocaine.

28-year old Tia Lynn Blood of Standoff, and 27 year old Amber Jean Day Chief of Lethbridge, each face trafficking charges and a charge of Possession of proceeds obtained by a crime under $5000

Both women were later released with conditions to attend Cardston court and not to attend the Standoff town site.
