Lethbridge Police Seeking Witnesses for Information About an Assault

LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge Police are investigating an assault and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

On May 29, 2016 at approximately 5 a.m. police and EMS responded to a report of an injured male along Cayuga Crescent.

The victim of an assault was transported to hospital and treated for serious head and internal injuries along with multiple facial fractures.

Investigators have determined that the victim had left Backstreet Pub at closing time and walked to Cayuga Crescent where he was approached by an unknown male and attacked.

The victim was not robbed and at this time the police are considering the incident to be random in nature.

The subject is described as an aboriginal male, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5’8” with a large, but slim build.
