City Man Charged with Voyeurism for a Sexual Purpose

LETHBRIDGE: A 37-year old city man with voyeurism after a woman reported being accosted by a stranger who took an inappropriate photo of her.

The alleged incident happened on June 6th.  A 21-year-old female reported that was at a south side store when she was approached by an unknown man who kept brushing up against her and attempted to make conversation. The woman ignored the man and walked away but the subject followed and allegedly used a cell phone to take a picture up her skirt.

A description provided by the victim and video from the store surveillance system lead to the man’s arrest on June 10th. 

Geovanny Alexander Marroquin-Funez, is charged with one count of voyeurism for a sexual purpose. He was released with conditions, including a prohibition from possessing any device capable of taking photographs or video including a cell phone.
