Free Admission to Parks Canada to celebrate Nation’s 149th Birthday
CANADA – You might just see some red and white peppered throughout the thick evergreens, rocky mountain peaks, deep blue lakes and sandy shores this Canada Day.
Canadians and international visitors can celebrate Canada’s 149th birthday on Friday, July 1, free of charge at all national parks, national marine conservation areas, and Parks Canada-administered national historic sites.
Catherine McKenna, Minister responsible for Parks Canada said that Canada Day is the ideal time for Canadians and visitors from around the world to celebrate and share Canada’s national heritage.
“I encourage everyone to visit any of Parks Canada’s places for free on Canada Day. It’s a great way for friends and families to experience one of Canada’s many natural and cultural treasures. Happy Canada Day!”
