Input Needed for Workers’ Compensation Board Review

Jul 15, 2016 | 7:10 AM

ALBERTA – Albertans have been invited to share their opinions and experiences with the Workers’ Compensation Board review panel.

It’s part of the government’s commitment to review its agencies, boards and commissions. The review is being conducted by an independent three-member panel.

After feedback is collected, the panel will work with key groups to examine issues in greater detail. The panel will look at the WCB’s governance and effectiveness, relevant legislation, the principles of compensation and policies, and the transparency of processes and decision-making.

The last comprehensive review was conducted more than 15 years ago.

The panel is expected to provide a progress update to government in the fall, with a final report in the spring.

You can find a link to the questionnaire at alberta.ca/wcb-review. Friday, July, 15 is the last day to provide input.
