Educational Camp for Youth Living With Type 1 Diabetes

ALBERTA – The Canadian Diabetes Association is offering a unique camp for children and youth living with type one diabetes.
The program boasts being the only camp where diabetes management fits into the day as naturally as a jump in the lake or an evening campfire.
Camp Jean Nelson, located near Water Valley, Alta. aims to encourage kids and connect campers and staff who share the same experiences.
The camp offers a variety of outdoor activities and challenges such as: swimming, hiking, canoeing, campfires and archery that help promote self-esteem and personal growth.
