City Police Investigating Door-to-Door Scam

LETHBRIDGE – Another scam in the city is going door-to-door this time.

Lethbridge Police are currently investigating reports of a Caucasian male with light-coloured hair, saying he’s collecting donations and fees for Neighbourhood Watch. He’s been seen going door-to-door along the 1600 block of 17 Street South.

Residents are reminded that Neighbourhood Watch does not collect funds in this way, and these types of scams are all too common.

Representatives collecting money for legitimate organizations must carry company ID, have information available about their organization or business and provide contact information to verify their identification.
